Facebook Messenger Bot is a new Facebook application that allows your customers to chat with you without having to open your Messenger App. It's a neat tool that will allow you to let your customers feel like they are actually chatting with you, instead of needing to keep typing their name and message in their chats box.
There are a few advantages to using Facebook Messenger Bot, and it may be a valuable one for you, but if you're not familiar with Messenger or Facebook, you'll want to read the instructions carefully before you start. In fact, it's even better if you can send your friends a guide before they get started.
The basics of using Messenger Bot will be very easy. First, you'll need to add a Facebook account to your Facebook profile so you can see all of your current friends.
Then, just wait for a friend request from any of your friends and you can accept it or decline it. Once the chat session begins, hit the "Add Friend" button and in the next screen, choose "Message"Message Bot".
You will then be prompted to choose a Messenger Bot ID that will tell Messenger Bot how to connect to your account. Your Bot ID will also allow it to identify itself to your Facebook friends.
Once you've chosen your Bot ID, the chat session will begin automatically and you can simply sit back and watch the Bot communicate with your friends. The Bot will greet you with a pre-written message that you can reply to with a click of the mouse.
In fact, you'll find that it's really quick and easy to work with Messenger Bot. Simply download the application onto your computer, set up a Facebook account, and you can start chatting with your friends.
Of course, you don't want to keep doing this for each and every friend that contacts you. If you have several friends on Facebook who are chatting with each other, you may want to consider using a Messenger Bot with more than one Bot ID to cut down on the time it takes to communicate with your friends.
This kind of application doesn't require you to keep entering each and every person you wish to chat with into your contacts list, which means you can save the same information into different profiles. A simple way to do this is to paste the information into the "Add Friend" field.
If you select one Bot ID that has multiple conversations going on, however, you will see only one conversation at a time. This can be fixed by clicking the arrow button on the bottom right corner of the screen and choosing the option "Show All Conversations".
When you have multiple conversations running, simply choose "Add Chat" and then decide which Bot you'd like to chat with. You will then select the person you'd like to chat with, choose a duration for the chat session, and select a Bot ID to talk to.
If you decide you would rather have another person to speak to your friend rather than sending them a Bot, then choose the option "Hide Chat". You'll find that this option works best for your use.
